Youth, talent and good looks all in abundance – what more could the club need for our monthly session !
We had a full house which was lovely to see both for the club and the band to play to. We all enjoyed listening to these talented musicians who presented a well balanced repertoire in their own fresh style. It is certain that the jazz music will live on with this next generation of musicians.
Some of the highlight tunes played were Have You Met Miss Jones, If I Should Loose You with some lovely sax from Alex. Embraceable You, and exciting version of Indiana, Ain’t Misbehavin’ played by Jamie, Tom & Jim forming a trio, Just Friends, a lovely Bossa latin version of All Things You Are had outstanding trumpet & keyboard together and great bass playing from Jim in You Do Something To Me, Taking A Chance on Love, another trio number this time with Alex, Tom & Jim for Do You Know What it Means To Miss New Orleans played in real sultry fashion and this was followed by Whoppin’ Blues with great street beat and fabulous drum solo from Jack.
This session rates with all the best that we have had and considering the ages and experience of the musicians this says heaps.
Thanks to all for a super night of quality entertainment.
